what a great article, I love it: "Yet now he stood before me in immortal shinning splendor, ageless and immune from time and the demands of the world."

Sorry, I lost the first message....

To continue. I believe a statue should definitely be in the Jamaica area and Goose Pond Park, with the water, is a lovely setting for a huge one the size of Japan's Kamakura Buddha. It should be in a location where many people can come and receive its stunning spirit. At first I thought it should be in the driveway entrance to Aspiration Ground but there just isn't enough space there. Inside Aspiration Ground it would not be available for the general public.

There are many places in and around the city one might choose, but none is so memorable as the area where he spent most of his life.

Utpal, I so enjoyed reading of your visit with Kaivalya, the master sculptor.

Thanks for the inspiring stories and memories of the early days of the 47- Mile Race. It was great reading and relating our stories and a testament to our Guru's Sri Chinmoy's enduring inspiration! The fact that so many of us 'old- timers' are still keeping this precious tradition alive by not only organizing but also running it, shows how the spiritual message of self -transcendence is alive and well and continuously flowing through us.
I wasn't aware of the original footage of the first race, so it was fun seeing the pictures of the younger versions( I think one was a young Vidura) of our spiritual family!
Now that I know Vidura promised to run the 47 next year when he's 65, I'll make sure he trains this time! :-)
Thanks Utpal- great job!

I just loved the above--as a runner I would love it if any of you could tell or guide me on how I could learn how to transcend what seems to me the self-imposed(fears?)limits I have set on my running--I want to experience more!
